Police deserve support

What kind of world will we be living in without law enforcement officers? Who would you call when burglars are invading your home, terrorizing your family, raping your daughter? Law enforcement officers (and their families) sacrifice so much of their mental and physical health and even their lives, to help us when we desperately need them.

And yet they are constantly being chastised for doing what they were trained to do - protect lives and property. What would you do if someone was running you over with a car, throwing bricks and bottles of frozen water at your head, etc.?

Please don't think I'm condoning torture or killing - that's a whole different discussion, but who among us would go to work every day knowing you are going to be attacked, abused and shamed, yet having no one who defends or respects you? It would be nice if we showed our appreciation to these brave people by sending letters of thanks, dropping off treats or did something to show them we care.
