President continues to disappoint
My children remember the day after Trump was elected as the day I cried on the stairs before I left for work. I couldn't imagine raising three daughters in an America run by that man. He had said so many distasteful things about women that I felt horrible raising my children with him as president.
I love Obama, and our country was in a good place as far as I was concerned. I wasn't too fond of Hillary but not Trump. He was a failure as a businessman and treated women like meat. At that time, I had no conception of how horrible it was going to get.
I wish I could understand how seemingly good people can justify supporting Trump as a leader. He has slowly dismantled all that I thought were important. I do understand that many Americans are very narrowly focused by the vision of Fox News and the spin that they put on the truth - or their truth. How though, as an adult, do you only trust one news source? Isn't it your responsibility to check at least a few to stay informed?
The president's response to the pandemic has been an overwhelming disappointment but not a surprise. Blaming everyone but himself.
The ugliness of his twitter battle when people are dying. His support of states to reopen as their numbers of COVID-19 infection skyrocket,
Men are being crushed by police. Racism is running rampant due to a climate he created. The streets are now burning as a direct result to the climate of hateful rhetoric that he spews. The only light at the end of the tunnel is they are now predicting that he may bring down the Republican Senate with him.
