We all can be kinder to the environment

Earth Day was commemorated last week on April 22. However, in many ways every day can be Earth Day. As caretakers and conservers of the planet, there are many things that humans can do. They can become vegans, plant trees and flowers, recycle, pick up debris and embrace endangered species.

In the Chicago area, we can support our two renowned zoos and the Shedd Aquarium. Bird feeders are another benevolent option if allowed at our respective residences. We can all try to combat global warming in light of the reality that it endangers every living entity that inhabits the earth.

We should become more environmentally and ecologically friendly via striving to make this planet more green and pristine.
