Concerned for future of village

I am a 49-year resident of Elk Grove Village and for the first time since my family and I arrived in Elk Grove, we are very concerned about the upcoming election. We have an individual who claims he cares about our village and that's why he wants to get people to apprL" issue on the March ballot. This person fails to tell the residents of Elk Grove the real agenda. The person is behind the political literature that has swamped Elk Grove Village in the past six months, but does not sign anything. Why? Is the person ashamed of their behavior?

I believe the purpose is to remove our whole board and then maybe this person will finally get the chance to be a trustee or worse, a candidate for mayor. I personally would not vote for anyone who hides behind a cloak of secrecy and deceptive political practices. Our current board members have in their terms of office achieved numerous items that have benefited all of the citizens of Elk Grove. A near capacity industrial park, which keeps our real estate taxes at one of lowest in the Chicago area suburbs, one of the finest police and fire departments in communities our size and some even larger, excellent schools, a great park district and affordable housing for all incomes, just to name a few.

I hope that the voters in Elk Grove will see through this attempt to remove our whole board, except one new trustee. Term limits may or may not be the answer, but "retroactive term limits" is certainly not the answer.
