Maybe writer just doesn't like probable outcome

Commenting on the column by Andrew Trees on Jan. 21, Professor Trees writes that the founders envisioned that the role of the Senate is to cool the temporary passions of the moment and offer judgment and wisdom.

Professor Trees laments that the Senate is in danger of a failure of epic proportions in the upcoming impeachment trial.

I suspect the professor's opinion is based on the fact that he is a liberal Democrat and the Senate is ready to vote not to impeach President Donald Trump.

As previously stated that the Senate is to cool the temporary passions of the moment and offer judgment and wisdom.

I truly feel that the Senate has realized that Nancy Pelosi's baseless and exaggerated charges do not rise to impeachable offenses and the Senate will offer judgment and be wise and vote not to impeach the rightfully elected President Donald Trump.
