Suppors diversity on police department

The Daily Herald article of Aug. 7 did not give a complete rendering of the Arlington Heights Village Board meeting of Aug. 5 or an indication of all who were present at the meeting.

Rev. (Clyde) Brooks was one of four persons who spoke on the issue of the lack of African-Americans and other minorities on the police department. The other three speakers were white and live or work in Arlington Heights.

My wife and I and about a dozen others stood in support of the statements made by those who spoke on the value of diversity and inclusion in government agencies.
