Cold War service snub

Not surprisingly, once again The Cold War has been ignored and overlooked. Its casualties are never recognized. There were 382 from The Cold War who died due to hostile enemy action (KIA) and there are still 126 who are on the rolls as MIA, whose sacrifice to our country has never been given its proper recognition.

To date there still isn't any memorial in Washington, D.C., for the Cold War, In the last Congress, Rep. David Young from Iowa introduced H.R. 1419 (Cold War Service Medal Act) on March 7, 2017, and not one of our congressmen from Illinois signed on as a co-sponsor.

I'll end with this: We've gotten no medals for, no monuments to, and no parade to our victory. We won our war.
