Respect for our flag
With the passing of Flag Day, it seems that the topic of disrespect for the American flag is gaining in momentum once more. I find that my feelings toward this subject have changed. I have always felt that any desecration or disrespect of the flag should be dealt with harshly. Now I only wish that the perpetrators be required to spend a period of time during their action, whatever it may be, to thank the men and women who gave so much to give them the right of such freedom of speech.
