Is the president a shoo-in for re-election?

Many of the far-right personalities in conservative talk radio are already talking about a possible landslide victory for President Donald Trump in 2020. Continued good economic news bolsters their belief that the president is a shoo-in to be re-elected.

A booming economy is certainly an important factor in presidential elections. However, there are also negative factors in play that could very well influence the election in 2020. For example: The president and congressional Republicans were responsible in FY 2017 and '18 for huge budget deficits and increasing the national debt to over $22 trillion.

The president also has character defects that have translated into numerous lies, a reluctance to admit an error and a readiness to blame others for mistakes by members of his administration. And he acts like a bully. The President also resorts to course and inappropriate language when responding to criticism.

There is something very curious about the president. When he meets or communicates with murdering dictators, his personality changes and he becomes very deferential and willing to believe whatever they tell him.

I wonder why.
