Let desperate people know the rules
Reports and books tell about the terrible and bewildering ordeal of many people entering this country illegally. They point out the terrible fears, uncertainties, red tape and separations along with language problems and many with no adviser. Other reports point out some of the problems and costs to this government. President Donald Trump is right when demanding legal immigration only and getting that message to all. This situation is another human tragedy that must be faced.
Our nation cannot solve the world problem of poverty and over population alone. A single wall will not control this traffic. With tunnels and a long shoreline a wall is like building a dam half way across the river.
Honey in your back yard will attract bears. To save some of this misery, our generous immigration laws must be changed to let these people know. The USA can assist other countries but they must take care of their own.
When 500 people want to get in a lifeboat that holds 100, there have to be rules and agreements made. Congress knows the problem but cannot agree and act. Let these desperate people know the rules. Tempest fugit; let them do something.
