An administration based on lies

Looks like our president is well on the way to his second set of 10,000 lies before his term ends. He pledged to reporters not to use stolen information by foreign adversaries in his 2020 election campaign and wrongly insisted he did not do so in 2016. He incorrectly boasted the federal government is collecting "hundreds of billions of dollars" in tariff revenue. Oh yes, and $15 billion of that will be used to bail out our farmers who've been victimized by lost sales to China.

Trump continues to deny American consumers will feel effects of his taxes. Has he been to a store recently to make a purchase? Remember, when his lips are moving he's lying.

One wonders why an individual lies like this about everything. Low self-worth, believe it or not, is the actual underlying factor.

Dr. Phil recently televised his list of the "Top Reasons People Lie." Here they are:

• Take what is not rightfully theirs

• Escape accountability;

• Create a fantasy / fake self-esteem to escape their mundane lives;

• Avoid punishment;

• Inflict pain. Feel better in the moment; "steal" admiration;

• Gain an advantage to exploit others.

Unfortunately all of the above fit Mr. Trump to a T. Very sad. Very scary.
