It's wrong for press to give Trump a pass

I couldn't disagree more with Jim Slusher's April 18 column regarding Daily Herald coverage of President Trump. His argument seems to be that the paper will keep printing the president's lies unchallenged, because you can't yet put them into context. It seems like that's what goes into forming an opinion in the first place. Until you are willing to call out the president's lies, I don't believe you are giving your readers the truth.

Our president is a liar and a criminal, and is destroying our government from the inside out. The release of the Mueller Report shows us how he's corrupted the attorney general's office. His cabinet picks are destroying their departments and working directly against their mission.

It's been two years of this, and I'd never know this if I'm just reading your Opinion page. We are close to a constitutional crisis in government, and saying nothing at this point is just not acceptable.
