Support Steve Schmidt for Elk Grove trustee

My husband and I are residents of Elk Grove Village and we support Steve Schmidt, who is running for village trustee.

My husband and I first met Steve Schmidt when he was the chief of police. Steve supported our son in a St. Baldrick's fundraiser -- Steve shaved his head and raised money for this wonderful cause.

The next encounter with Steve was through the Sister Cities Italian High School Exchange Program, which supports the youth in EGV. We were pretty impressed with how much Steve helps the children in our community. We know that helping the youth in Elk Grove Village is something dear to Steve.

Steve has been a leader in this community for so many years and even after retirement he wants to stay involved and give back to the community, that shows a lot of character!

Steve is a very educated man, we believe he is a strong person and a strong leader. He isn't just going to go along with something he doesn't believe in, he won't be that "yes man." Steve will have a strong voice in our community!

Steve doesn't engage in any mudslinging or negative political behaviors. He speaks only on behalf of his beliefs, his visions and what he plans to do for our community. I've never heard him speak in a negative tone against the others running for village trustee.

My husband, Frank, and I think Steve is all about character and community. What more would we want? We support Steve Schmidt!
