Candidate deserves support
I take issue with the Daily Herald's non-endorsement of Paul Hoefert for re-election to the Mount Prospect Village Board.
I was involved and active in the life of the Mount Prospect community for more than 50 years and served on the village board during 18 of those years. During that time, I observed and worked with dozens of public officials, both elected and appointed. Few were as knowledgeable, as conscientious, or as effective as Paul Hoefert. His value to that board is immeasurable.
I hope the voters of Mount Prospect will see past the Herald's editorial stance and return Hoefert to office for another term. He is worthy of the electorate's endorsement.
