Good job, school board
A tip of the hat to the Geneva School District 304 for holding their ground during the teacher strike.
Typically what happens in these cases is that the school board gives in after a day or two and the teacher's union gets what it wants. Those who have to pay for the increases are the overburdened taxpayers, who are lucky to see a minimal increase every few years in their jobs and won't see the lavish pensions that teachers get.
And unlike strikers in the secular world, teachers won't lose a dime by going out on strike, because the days missed will be added on to the end of the school year.
