We must put priority on health of the planet
Many eyes from outside of Congress' Illinois District 6, my own included, are focused on the Casten/Roskam battle wondering if the "flip-sixers" can pull this off.
I agree with the Herald that incumbent Roskam has done a commendable job. I even considered Roskam the clear winner in the televised debate I saw. But if I lived in District 6 I would vote for Casten for one reason - his understanding of the science of global warming, and his commitment to address it. If we don't prioritize the health of our planet now, while there is still a sliver of time available, then nothing else will really matter.
