President constantly mocking patriots
At a recent campaign event, President Donald Trump mocked George H.W. Bush's promotion of American volunteerism. At the same event, Trump mocked Sen. John McCain, former POW, as he often does. Both of these men are decorated war heroes who are currently suffering, one due to the recent loss of his wife, the other from a life-threatening illness.
Last year, Trump attacked the grieving widow of a soldier killed in Niger, by calling her a liar about a phone conversation he'd had with her. He also mocked a Gold Star Muslim family during his presidential campaign.
Trump seems to revel in attacking patriots when they're at their most vulnerable. Imagine the indecency of denigrating war heroes and their families, the best of America's best. I wonder why Republicans, especially those who have served, who claim to be super-patriots don't defend our war heroes?
