Remember Cheyenne Bodie

When I read recently that Clint Walker had passed at the age of 90, it felt like a piece of me left as well, and there was something I had to say.

You see, about 10 years ago, my brother passed away and while we had great memories, there were also a few heroes of his that as long as they were around, I felt he was somewhere near. One of those heroes was a guy named Cheyenne Bodie, otherwise known as Clint Walker.

Like Cheyenne, he never drank, never smoked and was just a good guy who would give his left arm if it meant saving an innocent child or a helpless girl. He was the kind of guy our children need so much today to idolize and pattern themselves after.

With Al and the Big Guy gone, there are just a few more to go, but when the last bell sounds and it is my turn to ride off into the sunset, I hope someone will say a few words about me, too. See ya.
