Will there be filters come the fall?
Finally, another election is done. Oh, we still have one to look forward to in the fall, but for now, it's over.
I'm sure all of us are grateful that we have chosen liars, thieves, immoral and crooked people to represent us in Springfield, Washington or the courthouse. Oh, I didn't say this, their opponents said it. Listening to the nasty campaign commercials was disgraceful. Not one of them had anything good to say about their opponents and very few told us what they would do for us. You know, campaign promises. I guess this way, they would not have any promises to break.
As a kid, I was taught to "filter" my comments, when talking about others, by asking three questions: Is it kind, is it true and is it necessary? If all three could be answered in the affirmative, it would be OK to say.
I wonder if politicians use any kind of "filter" when talking about their opponents. It sure doesn't seem like it. I can't wait till tomorrow when it starts all over again.
