Official with compassion for animals, too

Who in government takes the time to insure the safety and well-being of animals in McHenry County? Chuck Wheeler, chairman of public health and human services does. As a member of the board of health, I felt compelled to share my perceptions of Chuck. His wisdom into better communication between the sheriff's department and the animal control department is intelligent and heeds to policy.

Wheeler took time at our meeting to fight for the voiceless creatures of the county. As a result, there was interpretation to our current policy to protect our pets. I cherish Chuck's commitment to the welfare of pet populations in McHenry County who are subjected to harsh winter conditions.

Wheeler is an example of compassionate, and insightful leadership not just for pets but for District 4 primary voters as well.
