Pence made statement against repression

Hours ago, the temperature in South Korea was well below zero when Vice President Mike Pence remained seated while others fawned over Rocket Man's sister at opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. Back here in the liberal newsrooms, the thermometer promptly hit 212 degrees Fahrenheit - the boiling point.

Amid all the Olympic showmanship, Pence was criticized for not shaking hands with the propaganda minister of North Korea - a country that has been launching rockets and conducting nuclear tests with the sole aim of wiping America off the map.

Does anybody on the left have any idea what is really going on in the Korean Peninsula?

Don't forget, the propaganda coming out of North Korea is that they want to destroy America with nuclear tipped rockets.

News flash, that "darling woman" who smiles so charmingly for the cameras is a vital part of a regime that wants to incinerate San Francisco. I applaud Mike Pence for what he didn't do by ignoring Rocket Man's sister. In so doing, he didn't dignify the North Korean regime by pretending that rancor and hatred disappears under mascara and lip gloss. But as I listened to Whoopi Goldberg just minutes ago, she thought Pence should have "embraced" this woman in some fuzzy snowflake moment of love for mankind.

I wonder if Whoopi would have wanted FDR to kiss Eva Braun (Adolf Hitler's mistress) or shake hands with Josef Goebbels (Hitler's Nazi propaganda minister). UN Ambassador John Bolton rightly diagnoses the North Koreans' acts during the Olympics as a charade in which they try to sell another tired version of their "trust-us-we-are-your-brothers" slogan. This glitzy chapter is another pathetic diversion - their hatred for America and their plans to harm us are real.
