Distortion and distrust

As a result of the ongoing furor caused by the release of the memo authored by U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House intelligence committee and the Democratic members' responses, I am reminded of Pontius Pilate's response to Jesus: "What is truth?" The parties on both sides need to step back and adjust their moral compass in order that hate, distrust, self-interest not distort the facts of the matter.
