Respect the office
When I first became aware that Rep. Jan Schakowsky would boycott the State of Union address because - "My constituents have spoken loud and clear" I was disappointed by her actions. Her decision lacked respect for the office of the presidency. I was delighted to read the recent Daily Herald's Opinion section that her action was divisive. I too have serious doubts that her constituents spoke loud and clear. I disagree with some of the actions of the man that occupies the office of the presidency, but I respect the office of the presidency.
