Ask who wants new school utilization plan

I know that every family is impacted differently as a result of the proposed District 303 elementary school utilization plan. I, personally, believe the administration is acting with negligence and misconduct. Although things were said at a recent meeting, not one answer warrants these changes.

My wife and I moved to St. Charles so our kids can go to Fox Ridge Elementary School. With these proposals, we'd be forced to go to Lincoln with no all-day kindergarten, no in-house baker station and fewer resources and already at-capacity schoolrooms. Not to mention when entering Wredling, they would have zero school relationships with the majority of their new class. Trust me, my list goes on, and on, and on.

I realize that I'm one person with his very specific reason for his very specific situation. But I 1,000 percent respect any reason you may be for or against this proposal.

For whatever your specific reason, please speak loudly. As a group, we can put a stop to this agenda. I saw and heard a lot of frustrated parents. Remember it's our tax dollars going to work. The Q&A via note cards isn't going to work anymore.

Two things about me: my family is my world and I won't stand for my hardworking tax dollars to be ignored. Just ask yourself, who's asking for this? Who wants this?
