Chambers to host annual North Shore Economic Outlook breakfast April 28

The economy and markets have seen significant volatility and uncertainty to start the new year. To provide insight for local business owners and managers, the Northbrook, Glenview, and Deerfield-Bannockburn-Riverwoods Chambers will present the annual North Shore Economic Outlook Breakfast on Thursday, April 28, in Northbrook.

Jason Turner, Chief Investment Strategist for Wintrust Wealth Management, will review the factors driving economic results for 2021 and the reaction of markets this year.

Turner's presentation, "Economic and Market Perspective for 2022 and Beyond," will discern the key conditions shaping the economy, including geopolitical issues, inflationary pressures, employment market shortages, and prospects for economic growth. Attendees will gain a greater perspective of the factors driving the economy, understand the reaction of markets to the economic environment, and recognize the risks to a robust recovery.

A member of Wintrust's investment committee, Jason Turner authors market and economic commentary, regularly presents in the media and to professional conferences, and works with client portfolio managers to support institutional and private clients. As the Head of Multi-Asset Strategy, he is responsible for portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and for overseeing the firm's manager due diligence and selection efforts.

He is also a member of the firm's Operating Committee and Management Committee. Prior to joining Wintrust's Great Lakes wealth management division in 2009, Jason served in various roles for Skyline Asset Management and Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting. He holds a bachelor's degree from North Central College, an MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and a Certificate in Risk and Investment Management from the Yale School of Management.

The North Shore Economic Outlook Breakfast is at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel, 933 Skokie Blvd., Northbrook. Admission is $30 for Chamber members, $35 for guests. Registration is required by April 26. Visit northbrookchamber.org or call (847) 498-5555.
