Wheaton Chamber Women in Business host "Reset for Success" with virtual conference, in-person Business Expo
WHEATON -- The Women in Business Committee of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce is hosting "Reset for Success: Women in Business Expo 2022" from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on March 18. This blended event will offer a virtual conference with online learning followed by an in-person business expo, happy hour and "fashion stroll." Attendees can select whether to attend both events, the virtual conference or just the happy hour.
Women in Business Expo task force chair Christina Carrington Riley of CCR Creatives has worked on the project since 2021 when, due to pandemic restrictions, the committee postponed the event until 2022. "We're so glad we waited until this year," she said. "Whether you're an employee or an entrepreneur, working from home, in the office or thinking about starting your own business, this event has something for everyone."
The blended event will focus on virtual learning with keynote speaker Catherine Johns presenting "What They Most Want from You Is… YOU." Johns is a former WLS radio broadcaster turned coach and speaking professional who focuses on women in business. Following the keynote address, participants can choose one of three speakers in each area:
Erin Inman, president/CEO of Primera Engineers: "All In: Changing the Game So Employees Win" Erika Dyer, senior director of sales, PepsiCo, "Sales, Resilience & Growing Your Team" Jill Foucré, owner, Marcel's Culinary Experience and Marché: "From Executive to Entrepreneur: Lessons from the Front"
On Professional & Personal Growth:
Mary Lynn Fayoumi, president/CEO, HR Source: "The Great Resignation Optimization"
Karen Wells, president/CEO, Bridge Communities: "Reset to Rebound: The Connection Between Sports, Women and Leadership"
Jackie Camacho Ruiz, owner, JJR Marketing Consultants: "A Flight Plan for Business Success"
The virtual conference will be followed by a happy hour beginning at 4 p.m. at Klein Creek Golf Club, 1N333 Pleasant Hill Road, Winfield. Business expo booths are still available. A "fashion stroll" will include new work-from-home and in-office fashion trends.
Diamond Sponsors include Morna Freitas Photography, Northwestern Medicine, Rathje Woodward LLC, and Wheaton Bank & Trust. Pearl Sponsors include AlphaGraphics of Wheaton, Mulcare Insurance Agency-Allstate Insurance and RE/MAX Suburban. Sponsorships and expo tables are still available.
