Perdoceo Education Corp. announces leadership changes

SCHAUMBURG - Perdoceo Education Corp., a provider of postsecondary education programs, said Todd Nelson has been named executive chairman effective Jan. 20, and will continue to serve Perdoceo on a full-time basis.

Andrew Hurst was appointed to succeed Nelson as Perdoceo's president and chief executive officer. Hurst, who has 38 years of leadership experience in higher education, joined Perdoceo in 2014 and most recently served as Perdoceo's senior vice president - Colorado Technical University and as the president of Colorado Technical University. Hurst was also appointed to the Perdoceo board of directors.

"I am proud of our team's commitment to serving and educating students and of our achievements over the last few years," Nelson said. "The board and I would like to congratulate Andrew on his new role and I look forward to continuing to work with him. We are confident that Andrew brings the right leadership skills and dedication to drive successful student outcomes and long-term value for all of our stakeholders."

Perdoceo's academic institutions offer a quality postsecondary education primarily online to a diverse student population, along with campus-based and blended learning programs. Its accredited institutions - Colorado Technical University and the American InterContinental University System - provide degree programs from associate through doctoral level.
