AllPoints signs distribution deal with Dormont

MOUNT PROSPECT - AllPoints, a global food service parts and supplies provider, has become a major distributor of stainless steel gas connectors manufactured by Dormont.

The distribution deal will improve Dormont's order fulfillment efforts and reduce supply chain challenges for customers, AllPoints said. As a master distributor, AllPoints will take a strong inventory position of Dormont products.

After an 18-month market survey focused on the buying habits of its parts and services customers, Dormont found its customers rely on outside parts providers like AllPoints as primary parts suppliers due to their inventory positions and next-day delivery options, the company said.

"We also learned that parts and service companies prefer to only buy what they need versus being concerned about meeting freight prepaid levels from the manufacturer," said Gregory Schurch, sales director for the gas business unit at Dormont, which is based in Export, Pennsylvania.
