Wynnchurch sells its stake in air ambulance service

ROSEMONT - Wynnchurch Capital L.P. Tuesday said it sold its investment in Carson Air, a provider of fixed-wing air ambulance services, air cargo services and flight school training in Western Canada.

The company, headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia, was acquired by Exchange Income Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Carson Air represented an opportunity to partner with a best-in-class management team," said Frank Hayes, managing partner at Rosemont-based Wynnchurch. "We could not be more proud of the company's progression and its current position as a world-class provider of critical flight services."

Wynnchurch Capital is a middle market private equity firm.

"We greatly value our partnership with Wynnchurch and the strategic guidance and resources they provided," said Kevin Carson, who founded Carson Air in 1990.
