Ice Miller adds two partners to Chicago-area law practice
Ice Miller LLP, a legal firm with law offices across the country, including Chicago and suburban Lisle, announced the addition of two new partners who will work in the Chicago area. Heather Maly and Amir Ovcina joined the firm Jan. 1.
Maly is a partner in Ice Miller's Business and Litigation Groups. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, consumer class action defense and employment litigation. Maly represents clients in the media and entertainment, consumer product, health care, fashion, insurance and financial services industries. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and Brooklyn Law School, and previously was an associate at Venable LLP in New York.
Ovcina joins as a partner in Ice Miller's Business Group. He counsels clients, including private equity funds and portfolio companies, in the following areas: acquisitions, dispositions, offers of equity and debt security, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Ovcina negotiates and drafts various strategic transaction and investment documents, including purchase, investment management, LLC operating, subscription, shareholder, nondisclosure and administration and transition services agreements and bylaws. He has an economics degree from Northwestern and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law.
