Knowles revenue higher than expected in quarter
ITASCA - Knowles Corp., a global provider of small acoustic-processing components for audio, phone and hearing devices, said Tuesday it expects third quarter revenue to be approximately $206 million.
Third quarter revenue was driven by stronger-than-expected microphone demand in multiple markets and higher-than-expected shipments into the hearing-health market, said Jeffrey Niew, president and CEO of Knowles. He said the $206 million was above the high end of the company's previously issued guidance range of $185 million to $200 million.
The company's third quarter ended Sept. 30. Additional and more exact figures will be released Oct. 29 at the company's earnings call. The company makes components for hearing aides, headphones, mobile devices and wireless speakers.
