Elk Grove Village launches website on local businesses

Elk Grove Village officially launched a website Wednesday that provides information about local businesses that are still operating during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Shop Elk Grove website, shop.elkgrove.org, provides information about what business accommodations are still available and how goods and services are being provided, such as online ordering or curbside pickups, village officials said. The website, searchable by business type, currently lists more than 100 businesses with more being added daily.

To build the website, the village's economic development team sent surveys to some 300 retail establishments, restaurants, auto repair shops, service providers and retailers in town. Elk Grove businesses that did not respond can still be included by clicking the "Add Your Business" link.

The site also includes a "special offers" section to let potential customers know about deals and coupons.
