Grand opening at florist's new shop in Rolling Meadows on Feb. 10
Busse's Flowers & Gifts will host a formal grand opening event at its new Rolling Meadows location on Monday, Feb. 10.
Held in conjunction with the Rolling Meadows Chamber of Commerce, the event is scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at 3445 Kirchoff Road. There will be refreshments, a raffle to win a floral arrangement, and each attendee will receive a long-stem rose.
Busse's moved in recent months from 100 E. Northwest Hwy. in Mount Prospect, amid redevelopment prospects for Block 56 in the village, coupled with lower rents available in Rolling Meadows. The new location is smaller, but the florist does more business by phone and internet today, its owners said in November.
Louis Busse and his son, Fred, opened the business at 303 E. Evergreen in Mount Prospect in 1916, a year before the village's incorporation.
