Custom Aluminum names new CEO, president

SOUTH ELGIN - Custom Aluminum Products has appointed company President Steve Dillett to CEO.

Vice President Shane Tredup will replace Dillett as president, the company also said in a statement.

Dillett has been part of the organization for over 35 years, and as president has managed the overall operations and resources while guiding the company through numerous expansions. Custom Aluminum Products began as a small storm door and window manufacturer that has grown into a large aluminum extrusion company.

In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the development of the company's short and long-term strategic direction, developing and implementing the company's vision and mission and administering the continued growth.

Tredup's role will be continuing to grow the organization based on the mission and vision established 60 years ago with a focus on talent development, educational programs and operational excellence.

He began his career at Custom Aluminum working part-time in high school and after graduating from Illinois State University became a sales engineer. He has taken on increasing responsibilities over the past 25 years, including vice president of engineering and vice president of operations.

"We could not be more pleased to have Shane in his new role overseeing our daily operations and continuing to implement and build on our many years of success," said Dillett.
