Kanouse Joins ISACA as senior vice president of membership

Julia Kanouse has joined Schaumburg-based ISACA's leadership team as senior vice president of membership.

She will lead the strategy to elevate their experiences through diverse membership and chapter initiatives. In doing so, she will oversee a slate of global conferences, including 2020 CACS conferences in North America, Latin America, Oceania, Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe, GRC Conference 2020, and Capability Counts 2020.

Kanouse most recently was the CEO for the Illinois Technology Association, which serves the local tech community in Illinois. Before that, she held several executive roles in membership and marketing at the National Restaurant Association.

Her appointment comes as ISACA has been reinvigorating its structure and senior management team, including adding the organization's first chief learning officer and chief technology officer roles in 2019 shortly after Samuelson came aboard as CEO.

ISACA has more than 145,000 members in 188 countries working in information and cyber security, governance, audit and assurance, risk and privacy.
