Anixter sets stockholder meeting to approve merger

GLENVIEW - Anixter International Inc. will hold a special stockholders meeting to consider approval of its proposed merger with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.

The meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 4, 2020 at Two North Riverside Plaza, in Chicago.

Anixter in October announced New York-based equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice offered to buy the company in a $3.9 billion deal that would take the publicly-traded industrial electronics company private.

Anixter stockholders of record as of the close of business on Dec. 31, 2019 will receive notice of and vote at the special meeting, the company said in a release.
