Durty Nellie's, Brandt Financial Concepts win top Palatine chamber awards

Durty Nellie's and Brandt Financial Concepts Inc. were among the winners when the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of the 2019 Key to Success awards on Friday.

Durty Nellie's received the Key to Success Business of the Year (11 or more employees) honor, while Brandt received the Shining Star Business of the Year (10 or less employees) award.

Other winners included: Los Takitos Taco Shop (New Business of the Year); Melanie Santostefano of Vicarious Multimedia (Business Leader of the Year); Deb Gabriel of Edward Jones Financial Advisor (PACC Volunteer of the Year); Palatine Jaycees (Community Organization of the Year); Michelle Cosmano Rushing and Bobbie Desprat (Community Volunteer of the Year); and Edward Nieman (Youth Rising Star).

"The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce could not exist without volunteers and those who are taking the lead to continue to grow our business community, and the greater Palatine area," PACC Executive Director Steven Gaus said in an announcement of the winners. "Congratulations to all the winners - but also to everyone who was nominated and who donates their time or talents to strengthen our organization."
