Palatine chamber hosting annual awards event Friday

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will honor individuals, businesses and organizations who've made a positive impact on the greater Palatine community when it holds its Key to Success Holiday and Awards Event on Friday.

The event is set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Grand at Twin Lakes, 920 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine. It's open to all chamber members and the public, but tickets must be purchased in advance. Visit palatinechamber.com or call (847) 359-7200 for tickets and more information.

Award categories are Key to Success Business of the Year; Shining Star Business of the Year; New Business of the Year; Business Leader of the Year; Chamber Volunteer of the Year; Community Volunteer of the Year; Community Organization of the Year; Youth Rising Star Award.

In addition to the awards presentation, a tasting showcase of local cuisine and sweet treats will be featured, with offerings from Cousin Subs, Tap House Grill, Los Taquitos Taco Shop, Durty Nellie's, Gianni's, Gordon Food Service, Pizza Bella, Nothing Bundt Cakes Kildeer, Morkes Chocolates and The Grand at Twin Lakes.
