Empire Today honored for promoting employee well-being

NORTHLAKE - Empire Today, for the second year in a row, received Cigna's "Outstanding Culture of Well-Being Award" for the Mid-West region.

Empire was recognized for its dedication to making a difference in the health and well-being of their employees, in accordance with Cigna's Dimensions of Well-Being. Empire was chosen for its promotion of healthier lifestyles through an annual themed outcome-based incentive program for employees and spouses. Additionally, Empire was recognized for its monthly benefits communication and commitment to regularly requesting and implementing feedback to improve company wellness initiatives.

Cigna developed the Well-Being Award to acknowledge employer clients that have a positive impact on the health and well-being of its workforce. In making the selection, Cigna evaluates the core components of company wellness programs, including leadership, organizational foundations, policy and environment, program implementation and employee participation, among other things.

All applications are reviewed and judged by an internal, multi-departmental review committee from Cigna.
