Illinois Public Risk Fund awards members $5 million in safety grants

TINLEY PARK - For the third consecutive year, The Illinois Public Risk Fund will be distributing $5 million back to its membership through a grant program.

Intended to ease the burden of safety expenses, the IPRF Grant Program provides members with funding for products that will assist in reducing injuries and/or illness. Some of the items that have been purchased via this program include fire personal protective equipment, bullet proof vests and police dogs.

To date, IPRF has given back $70,760,000 in dividends/grants to their governmental entity and public agency members. IPRF members can access their online application at www.iprf.com where they can choose from a comprehensive product listing of safety items.

In addition, IPRF members have access to an IPRF Loss Control representative, who can assist in the selection of safety items.

The Grant Program application deadline is Dec. 1.
