Q: Tell us a little bit about the venue.

A: Located northwest of Chicago in Itasca, Eaglewood is a unique Midwest destination that caters to families, spa goers, golfers, and couples looking for a romantic getaway, seeking a nearby destination with exciting activities.

From spa treatments to games at the bowling alley, Eaglewood offers a little bit of everything that everyone can enjoy.

Q: Explain the history.

A: Originally, the resort was named Nordic Hills and was built in 1969. It was owned by Carson Pirie Scott.

When it first opened, the lobby lay in the middle of each tower, which overlooked the golf course. In 2002, the resort was purchased by new owners and thus became Eaglewood Resort & Spa.

Q: What do you have to offer when it comes to corporate meetings?

A: Eaglewood offers IACC-certified meeting spaces, meaning they meet the rigorous standards of the International Association of Conference standards. Designed to stimulate the mind, the meeting spaces allow for groups ranging from 10-350.

Q: Describe the atmosphere.

A: The atmosphere at Eaglewood is energetic. With the coming of fall and the disappearance of warm temperatures, many are welcoming outdoor activities including golf and live music on the weekends.

Q: What are people in your industry talking about? What's trending?

A: Currently trending in this industry are fitness, wellness and fitcations, as well as mindful eating. Eaglewood offers 2 on site gyms, a golf course, a spa, and many healthy food options that will leave guests achieving all aspects.

Q: Tell us about your favorite feature at Eaglewood?

A: My favorite part about Eaglewood is the conference center. As we continue to train and develop ourselves, the tall windows create a bright environment that makes for a more memorable and enjoyable meeting … Not to mention the delicious food that goes along with it!

Q: What is there to do on a rainy day?

A: On a rainy day, guests have the option to enjoy a delicious meal, book a treatment at the spa, spend time in our indoor pool or throw a few strikes at our resort's bowling alley.
