Baxter named a 'Best Company for Multicultural Women'

DEERFIELD - Baxter International has been named a 2019 Best Company for Multicultural Women by Working Mother magazine. The recognition is a result of the company's sustained focus on supporting and advancing multicultural women at all levels of the organization globally.

Baxter has implemented a variety of initiatives designed to recruit, retain and advance women and underrepresented minorities. These include eight employee-led Business Resource groups, half of which are led by women. The groups provide a forum for employees to enhance personal growth and multicultural understanding while strengthening relationships. Baxter also offers tools, resources and employee benefits, including flexible working options, mentoring and sponsorship programs, parental leave and child care benefits, to help enable success at home and in the workplace. "The diversity of our people - including backgrounds, beliefs and experiences - is a driving force of our organization and empowers our mission to save and sustain lives around the world," said José (Joe) E. Almeida, chairman and chief executive officer. "We will continue to invest our time and resources in building a culture that attracts, supports and advances diverse and inclusive teams."
