FE Moran acquires MidCo Systems

BURR RIDGE - MidCo Inc, a supplier of telephone and security systems for businesses, announced it has been acquired by Champaign-based FE Moran Security Solutions.

Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

"Together, we are uniquely positioned to provide customers with the most comprehensive set of security, communication, network, and life safety solutions available," MidCo's President Paul Janik said about the sale.

FE Moran Security Solutions is a nationwide provider of electronic security, life safety and monitoring systems, Janik added the company is one of the fastest growing independent security and network technology companies in the U.S. and has the capital structure to continue the growth and legacy of MidCo, which was founded in 1960 according to its website.

FE Moran CEO Brett Bean said the acquisition "increases our in-house expertise in key areas."

"The acquisition will also create learning and development opportunities for all of our team members to increase their industry knowledge," Bean added.

MidCo employees will continue to operate from offices in Burr Ridge and Bloomington.
