Seven seek spot on Consumers Credit Union board

WAUKEGAN - Consumers Credit Union recently introduced the candidates for the member-owned credit union's board of directors.

Eleven candidates are vying for four positions on CCU's 13-member board, with the election scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 at Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee. The election will be held in conjunction with the credit union's 89th annual meeting.

Nominees for election include incumbents Ann Campanella of Gurnee, Joseph Rajcevich of Waukegan and Frank Soyka of Green Oaks. Others seeking a board seat include Lekecia Barclay of Palatine, Daniel J. Burdett of Round Lake, Geoffrey Chaumette of Gurnee, Jean V. Kartje of Wadsworth, Horacio Lopez of Wadsworth, Jamaine Parish of Chicago, Christine Serwinski of Schaumburg, and Barb Sorensen of Palatine.

In addition to the election of board members, the credit union's annual meeting will update members on CCU's 2018 financial results. Annual reports recapping the credit union's 2018 performance will also be distributed at the meeting.

Approximately 300 Members and guests are expected to attend the annual meeting. Tickets are available in advance for $15 each on a first-come, first-serve basis at all credit union service centers; no tickets will be sold at the door. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.
