Foglia YMCA looking for sponsors, participants

The Foglia YMCA is looking for corporate sponsors and participants to take part in its biggest fundraiser of the year.

2018 Foglia Games takes place Sept. 13-15. "This is a great way to have fun, team build and give back to your neighbors," event organizers said.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the Foglia YMCA annual fund; which provides financial assistance to children and families in our community who otherwise could not afford the YMCA's early learning, sports, fitness, educational enrichment, camps and aquatics programs.

This year's events include trivia at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, canoe battleship at 7 p.m. on Sept. 14, 3 vs 3 basketball at 8 a.m. Sept. 15, sand volleyball at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15. An escape room, closest to the pin and minute to win it take place on all three days at times convenient for the team.

In 2017, the Foglia YMCA was able to provide financial assistance to ensure no one was turned away from our center. More than 200 families were able to access the Y because of the financial assistance program.
