Fisher Container, a provider of custom flexible packaging for food and health care packaging, said Monday that Dan Donofrio will join its executive team as chief operations officer.

Donofrio brings more than 25 years of operations leadership experience in a variety of packaging related businesses including Solo Cup Company, Pregis and most recently as global vice president -- technical services at HAVI. Throughout his career he has driven value in operations, engineering, quality assurance and graphic services roles, in both domestic and international markets. Donofrio graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in plastics technology and holds an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

"As we execute our strategic plan of organic and acquisition growth, Dan will bring unique skill in driving operational excellence and providing our customers state of the art packaging products with exceptional quality and service."

Donofrio will work from the company's headquarters in Buffalo Grove.
