Sears cuts 125 more jobs, mostly in Hoffman Estates

Sears Holdings Corp., the largest U.S. department-store chain, eliminated 125 non-store jobs, mostly at its headquarters.

The retailer, which employs 6,600 support-center workers at locations including Tucker, Georgia, and Dallas, announced the cuts internally yesterday, spokesman Chris Brathwaite said in an e-mail today.

Sears, based in Hoffman Estates, has about 300,000 employees.
