Barrington High School improvements get OK from village board

Barrington village board members this week approved plans for improvements at Barrington High School.

The improvements include construction of a new batting cage between the two east fields at the Field of Dreams; replacement of the scoreboards at the varsity baseball and softball fields, with new video scoreboards; and installation of a new non-video scoreboard at the lacrosse field being built this year.

The improvements were approved as part of the consent agenda at Monday's board meeting, following a neighborhood meeting held by Barrington Area Unit District 220 in May and a June 14 public hearing before the village's plan commission.
