What challenges did the Class of 2022 face as they returned to in-person school full time, and how did they overcome them: Waking up, getting ready, and reporting to school Monday-Friday for seven classes that begin at 7:45 a.m. was an adjustment and challenge after a school year that was mostly remote. A new bell schedule was also implemented at the semester break that required students to adjust and adapt to something different on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the second semester of their final year. They faced these challenges by focusing on what was within their control - their attitudes and mindsets. They consistently showed up and demonstrated the effort, cooperation, collaboration, and willingness to do whatever was necessary to succeed.
Principal's reflections on the Class of 2022: The Class of 2022 is filled with incredible students who have the potential to make the world a better place. This class of approximately 650 students includes a wide range of personalities and unique perspectives.
This is my final year as principal at Naperville Central, and I have enjoyed spending it with these seniors and will enjoy celebrating commencement - a new beginning when we leave NCHS.
