Nonverbal man missing near Maine Township

A nonverbal man from unincorporated Maine Township is missing after being released from the hospital, authorities said.

Najee Stansberry, 23, was discharged from Advocate Lutheran General Hospital around 11:30 a.m. Monday, according to the news release.


Stansberry is 5-foot-9 and approximately 175 pounds with partially balding short black hair. He has brown eyes and a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information about Stansberry's whereabouts should call 911, the Cook County sheriff's police at (708) 865-4896, or the Cook County sheriff's office nonemergency number at (847) 635-1188.
